Most of you may have noticed we are having a new BOINC logo now. So there was a discussion at BOINCstats going on if they needed a new look as well or not. ;-)
Now Willy made a poll where everyone can vote for his/her favorite logo for BOINCstats and for BAM! (including the old ones if you wish no change at all).

So please spread the word and vote!
BOINCstats logo poll has opened!! Voting is possible until August 4th. :-)

I believe the new BOINC logo to be a mistake. The word "BOINC" is now obfuscated, and to someone who does not know BOINC, the logo looks like B. Inc. where "Inc." is synonymous for much of the world with large US corporations.

There will be people that look briefly at sites with the new logo, and dismiss it as helping some for profit US business.

At the first sight I got a real shock when I saw that new logo. *LOL*
But now I don't think it's bad, it's just very new. :-)

Although I understand what you mean I think most users will identify the "yellow sun" as O. Next to the logo there's still the full name so that makes it quite easy as well me thinks.
At least I hope that possible new BOINC users are smart enough. *smiles*

Next to the logo there's still the full name so that makes it quite easy as well me thinks.

I think if you have to explain your logo, then it has failed.
