I had a WU that froze up my BOINC client and no other projects could process until i manually updated the Docking client.

Hi, I tried to delete some unfinished WU's , but that's impossible, cause, they are in use .
Stopping BOINC may/can help.
Also skipped, keep files in memory .
Probably also best to avoid more then 250-500 task's per core, boinc.exe, goes crazy and can take up to 100% CPU, on one core!

There was just one Docking WU on the old laptop at the time. But it stopped all clients. I run 3 clients on each machine. The laptop runs Windows XP. I found that Boinc on my other XP machine had frozen up this morning too. Its a quad and two of the processors was stopped on two different WU's. Aborting the docking WU's didn't work this time around. I ended up having to download a fresh version of BOINC and reinstall it before things started working right.

So far haven't had any trouble with vista.

Well famous last words. I just aborted a work unit on the vista machine. It had locked up one of the cpu's for 89 hours. It also had no output file.
